Enterprise Commercial Trucks Opens New Area Rental Branches
Enterprise Commercial Trucks, a division of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, has opened two new rental offices in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The new branches in Woodbridge, Va. and Laurel, Md. will help meet the growing demand for rental trucks among area business customers, including courier and delivery services and transportation and logistics companies. The new offices also will serve consumers with vans, pickup trucks and box trucks for residential moves and other household tasks.

The 9th Annual "Feed Denver" food drive by arc Thrift Stores brought in fourteen more tons of food than the 2008 drive. arc Thrift Stores will deliver 112 tons of non-perishable food to Volunteers of America's City Harvest Food Bank on Saturday June 13, 2009 between 8:00am and noon. This enormous shipment will require eight semi-trucks containing 152 pallets for delivery. VOA's City Harvest Food Bank distributes food to over 75 local food banks and shelters free of charge.

Nestle Waters North America will tomorrow display one of its Diesel-Electric Hybrid (DEH) delivery trucks at the first "Hybrid on the Hill" event in Washington, D.C. "Hybrid on the Hill" is coordinated by CALSTART, a member-supported organization dedicated to the growth of a clean transportation technologies industry, and its Hybrid Truck Users Forum, and will showcase hybrid technology for medium- and heavy-duty trucks. A total of 17 trucks will be on display.
